    long overdue update

Buick Audra here. Hello, hello, hello. I hope that this finds you all well.

It took me a while, but I finally overhauled this site. All other projects have been moved over to the fancy new Trimming The Shield Records site! Go check her out when you get a minute. When you're there, visit Boey Russell's pages. His debut full-length album was released on TTS on January 14th. I co-produced and engineered the record, and I'm crazy proud of it.

Boey and I released a single together in December called "Genevieve." It's kind of unreal, but it's actually the first song that he and I have ever really written together - after almost twenty years of collaborating. It was nice to come together for that one song in that way.

TTS will have some new kinds of releases this year. We have a new single series on the way that I think you'll dig. We're psyched to have somenew artists involved.

I've been very happily focusing time and energy on Friendship Commanders for the past several months. As I've posted here before, we released a cover the Ramones' "Pet Sematary" for Halloween last year. All proceeds went to the Hazelden Foundation toward addiction research in Dee Dee Ramone's name. Since then, we've become an official three-piece! Cody McCall started playing with us in October, and we sealed the deal about a month later. He's great and fun and we're all stoked as hell. We've been playing locally quite a bit, and are working on booking short weekend runs to drivable cities like Atlanta, Savannah, Chattanooga, etc. We have a pile of new songs that we're planning on putting on a full-length album this year, too.

Other than that... I tracked and edited the vocals for a project called Mourn, which is a collaboration between two artists, Jay Weinberg and Sarah Saturday. Pretty cool stuff. I think the EP came out in Novemeber. Check it out!

I'm sure other things have happened, but that's the nutshell. I hope you'll make it out to an FC show, and if you live too far, we've got more music coming to you soon!

    Thanks, pals.
